Police are currently investigating a complaint from several members of the public regarding a Tongan woman who is wanted for fraud.
Police say they are working closely with their counterparts to search for the accused.
Radio Tonga receive information that the Tongan woman residing in Australia visited Nuku’alofa and hired rental cars from local businesses.
She later sold these vehicles to the public and vanished with the money.
It is understood the incident occurred last year.
Police were not able to give more detail due to ongoing investigations.
