Tonga’s Heilala Vanilla extract has been used to produce Lewis Road Creamery Fresh Vanilla Milk that is currently being sold in New Zealand.
The Heilala vanilla extract added to Lewis Road Creamery’s Premium Whole Milk creates a New Zealand first, Fresh Vanilla Milk, stated the Heilala Vanilla company.
Heilala Vanilla this week joins Lewis Road Creamery’s Premium Whole Milk dream team in selected supermarkets and specialty food stores.
“This is an exciting development for Heilala and our growers in Tonga and means our vanilla will now be in the hands of exciting group of customers.”
Heilala Vanilla was also named as a finalist in three categories in the 2015 Australian Food Magazine Awards; Organic, Employer of the year and Community Engagement.
In addition, the best pickings for this year’s harvest were also showcased in this year’s Agricultural show in Tonga.
“With an assortment of vanilla coconut slice on display we won the best product packaging and supreme award for best stand, which is both encouraging and exciting for our growers on the ground in Tonga,” stated the company.
