We're only two months into 2018, but the 28-year-old actor already has a lot to celebrate.

Black Panther has broken the box office and he's also in the running for an Oscar in a few weeks' time, for his role in 2016's Get Out.

But Daniel has been acting since he was 13, so how did he get here?

Speaking to the BFI, he says it took four years to get on the waiting list to join the community theatre school in north London.

The 58-year-old apologised after Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp, now aged 46, revealed he was sexually assaulted at Spacey's apartment in 1986, when the pair were both working on Broadway play Precious Sons.

Rapp says Spacey, then 26, picked him up and carried him to bed after a party at the residence, in what he believed was an attempt to "seduce" him. He is then alleged to have lay on top of Rapp, leaving him trying - ultimately successfully - to "squirm away".

For many years, Stanton played lesser-billed characters. In 1984, he got his first part as a leading man in "Paris, Texas," which won a host of awards, including the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.

Rebel Wilson wins defamation case

In an at-times bizarre Victorian Supreme Court trial, the 37-year-old Australian sued over eight articles which appeared in Woman's Day, Women's Weekly, OK Magazine and New Weekly in 2015.

The articles said Wilson had publicly lied about her age, real name and upbringing, and alleged she had added a "touch of Hollywood" to her backstory.

She returned to Melbourne from Los Angeles to give evidence at the three-week trial in which she made jokes, rapped an Academy Award acceptance speech she claims to have hallucinated years earlier, and broke down in tears several times.
