Two men and a woman are in police custody and will appear in the Fasi Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 27 November 2018 over a drug-related case.
The three suspects were arrested in a drug raid at a home last Wednesday.
Tonga’s Police Drugs Enforcement Taskforce executed a search warrant at a residence in Ngele’ia where they arrested the suspects with 100 packets of cannabis ready for distribution.
The suspects are a 31-year-old man from Ngele’ia, a 22-year-old man from Ngele’ia and an 18-year-old woman from Fahefa.
Police Dogs were also deployed during the search on Wednesday, 21 November.
Acting Chief Superintendent Tevita Vailea said Police will continue to work with the community to prevent the harm illicit drugs cause and the ongoing criminal activity associated with their use.
“We encourage anyone who may have information about drug-related offending to contact their nearest Police station, or ring 23417 or 922.”
