The people of ‘Ohonua, ‘Eua at the island of Tonga are excited about their new water supply from the Tonga Water Board.
The cost for project is about $100,000, said ‘Elisiva Tapueluelu.the Secretary of the Tonga Water Board.
Two new underground water supplies were identified and established for the distribution of water to ‘Ohonua district.
The new supply of water will be just as good as water provided to consumers in Nuku‘alofa, Vava‘u and Ha‘apai.”
The Minister for Revenue and Customs and representative of the people of ‘Eua to Parliament, Tevita Lavemaau was chief guest at the commissioning of the water project.
Tapueluelu said one more water project is left and once that is completed everyone in ‘Ohonua will receive water.
