Digicel Tonga will support the Under 15 & Under 17 teams on their tour to Australia.
The tour will showcase the players talents with the hope that they will be recognised for Junior NRL Clubs or school scholarships.
Teams were chosen based on the junior rugby League Club tournament, which helped the association choose each team members.
This is the first time for a Junior Club Rugby League Tournament in Tonga and it was proudly sponsored by EM Jones.
This is part of the Junior Rugby League development and pathways program to grow participation in Rugby League as a sport in Tonga.
This is the first time Tonga has sent Junior Teams to Australia to play Rugby League.
The Teams will depart Tonga on Tuesday, 14 August and return on Wednesday, 22 August.
A team from Digicel met the two teams yesterday at the Atele ground during practice and gave the players merchandise such as Digicel caps and string bags.
Digicel has also able to reach out and assist the teams with their rugby shorts and jerseys for the tour.
