Waratahs hooker Tolu Latu has been issued a breach notice by Rugby Australia and issued with further penalties for a drink-driving incident last month.
Latu was fined $1300 and suspended from driving for three months leading guilty to mid-range drink driving and driving with a suspended licence.
The court was reportedly told that Latu was found by passers-by asleep at the wheel at the intersection of Cleveland St and Anzac Pde in Sydney's inner-east at 4:30am.
Members of the public reportedly had to break into his vehicle to stop it from rolling into the intersection, with Latu unresponsive.
He recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.135 at the time, a mid-range reading.
Rugby Australia issued a statement on Wednesday saying it's Integrity Unit had determined Latu had committed "a mid-level breach of the Professional Player Code of Conduct" and issued him a four-match suspension and a $5000 fine.
Rugby Australia said Latu had already served three of those matches - after being stood down by the Waratahs - and the suspension element of his sanction would be complete after missing a Shute Shield clash for Sydney University against Eastwood this weekend.
The $5000 fine took into account "out-of-pocket expenses totaling approximately $7,000" that Latu had incurred with his court expenses", Rugby Australia said.
Latu may also undergo "counselling and/or alcohol education programs as deemed necessary by Rugby AU and/or the Waratahs for a period of 12 months", the statement added.
Latu's personal situation leading up to his drink-driving offence, his failure to tell team management before media broke the story and his subsequent contrition and and public apology were all factored into the Integrity Unit's decision, Rugby Australia said.
Latu has accepted the finding and sanction.
Whether Latu remains in the Wallabies' World Cup plans remains to be seen. He was sent home from a Wallabies' camp last month in Brisbane after the story broke.
