South Korean coronavirus patients re-diagnosed after they recovered

Jeong Eun-kyeong, the director of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC), says the virus appears to have been "reactivated" rather than the patients being reinfected, Reuters reported.

The number of patients has grown after 51 were announced on Monday and officials say it brings doubt into what it means for a patient to be cleared of the virus and when they should be allowed to return home.

Bloomberg reported a patient is currently deemed fully recovered when two tests conducted with a 24-hour interval show negative results.

Professor Stephen Howes, Director of the Development Policy Centre at The Australian National University, said the second wave has been unfolding from mid-February onwards in the rich countries of the world (as well as Iran).

Some have responded better than others. None are out of the woods, and the suffering in some countries has been staggering, but many now seem to be turning the corner.

Three more cases of Covid-19 in Guam

Governor Lou Leon Guerro said out of 34 samples tested, three tested positive for Covid-19.

Four people in Guam have died from the virus.

She said the US territory has a total of 128 positive cases, and 33 recoveries

Boris Johnson spends night in intensive care after symptoms worsen

Downing Street said he was moved to the unit on the advice of his medical team and was receiving "excellent care".

Mr Johnson has asked Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab to deputise "where necessary", a spokesman added.

The prime minister, 55, was admitted to St Thomas' Hospital with "persistent symptoms" on Sunday evening.

The Queen has been kept informed about Mr Johnson's health by No 10, according to Buckingham Palace.

World leaders - including US President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron - have expressed their support for Mr Johnson.

Crusaders players flout lockdown rules
