Miss Pacific Islands Pageant PNG

Meet the new Miss PNG!

She hails from Ialibu, Southern Highlands Province, and Chimbu.

The 23-year-old is a final year Political Science student from the University of PNG.

She was among a total of six contestants vying for the Miss PNG title to represent the country in the regional pageant in Samoa.

The six contestants were judged in the sarong category and talent category last night, both of which Limbiye won.

Limbiye was awarded the best sarong, the best talent, people’s choice and Miss National Tourism Award, a title that comes automatically with being Miss PNG.

PNG determined to bring back regional crown this year

This motivation began with current Miss PNG Abigail Havora, winning the crown and title as Miss Pacific Islands last year.

Proud mother thanks God for opportunity

For Joela Leke, Pacific Balance Fund fulfilled her wish when it decided to sponsor her daughter’s participation in the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant PNG. 19-year-old Melody Leke successfully secured a sponsorship with PBF.

It may seem less significant to some eyes, but Joela was lost for words during the official announcing of Miss Pacific Balance Fund 2016.

“This is something special for me,” she said.

“This is Melody’s dream and thank God, the door has opened.”
