New York Fashion Week

The moment hijabs dazzled the New York Fashion Week catwalk

Muslim designer Anniesa Hasibuan's show was also one of the first by an Indonesian at the prestigious annual event.

At a time when what Muslim women choose to wear is causing intense debate, many are calling Hasibuan's move a historic moment in bringing the hijab into the mainstream.

Inspired by her hometown Jakarta, Hasibuan presented trousers, flowing tunic and gowns, in luxurious fabrics and detailed embroidery, all worn with hijabs.

Designers aim for even faster fashion

Tom Ford and Tommy Hilfiger are among those that have followed British fashion house Burberry in making new styles available to buy immediately.

Most shows are now live-streamed and featured on social media.

That has prompted some labels to show designs for the coming autumn/winter rather than next year's summer ranges.

Not having to wait for glossy fashion magazines to feature the latest designs has helped to make consumers less content to accept delays of several months before they can buy them.

Kanye's NYC fashion show gets blistering reviews

The rapper/designer unveiled his Yeezy Season 4 collection outdoors in New York City as part of New York Fashion Week, and it was sweltering.

West staged the show at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park on Roosevelt Island and also streamed it on Tidal. Attendees reportedly waited hours in the sun and humidity Wednesday afternoon for it to begin.

There were reports of fainting and some of the models looked to be visibly withered.

Rihanna and Travis Scott are officially dating

"Travis and Rihanna are dating, officially," an insider shared with E! News. "It's already very serious. He's very into her."

It was more than evident late last week when the pair stepped out looking ever so happy at an A-list event. On Wednesday night, the Barbadian beauty watched Travis perform in concert. They also attended a private party at Up & Down.

"It's true, they were totally together," a source shared with E! News. "They were all over each other. It was very clear they were together."

Kim Kardashian and more flood front row at Givenchy's show

Not only is this one of week's major celeb attractions, but it also stands as the show offering the most seats to fans in the general public (we're talking 1,200).

The show took place at Pier 26 in Hudson River Park at sundown, creating an equally contemplative and mesmerizing setting (we're talking models standing under drain pipes, wielding olive branches—and then there's that finale number set to a live rendition of "Ave Maria"…). Stars flocked to the much-anticipated presentation, including Tisci's celeb-besties Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

Melissa Rivers opens up about Anniversary of Joan Rivers' death

Daughter Melissa Rivers opened up about the one-year anniversary of her mother's death and told E! News at its New York Fashion Week kick-off party that she honored her mother in a very low-key way at home. "I did exactly what I thought I was going to do," she said.

"I lit a candle with my son and said a little prayer and had a little reflective moment."

Afterwards, Melissa and son Cooper went their separate ways for the rest of the evening. "He went off with his friends, and I stayed home and had some friends over," she explained. "We opened a good bottle of wine!"
