The Talk: Sharon Osbourne leaves US show after racism row

Osbourne defended broadcaster Piers Morgan over his criticism of a high-profile TV interview given by the Duchess of Sussex.

That led to a clash with co-host Sheryl Underwood, who accused Osbourne of giving "validation" to "racist" views.

TV network CBS took The Talk off air while it carried out an investigation.

In a statement on Friday, CBS said the events of the 10 March episode "were upsetting to everyone involved, including the audience watching at home".

During the interview she laughed as co-host Piers Morgan asked if she actually had any idea who she was mentoring.

She put it down to "blanking" and says she is "the worst in the world" with names.

Osbourne first disclosed there was trouble in her marriage in May when she said the rocker had moved out of their Los Angeles home.

"It's hard because it affects the whole family and it's quite embarrassing to talk about," she said. "Drugs and drinking is more acceptable. But when it's somebody who has a sex addiction, it's more embarrassing."
