Marist rugby team have been crowned new champion of the Lavengamalie Cup tournament on Saturday after it crushed the Spartan in the final with scores 53 – 19.
Marist were awarded the cup and Division One top prize money of TP$35,000 while Spartan took home TP$20,000 in prize money from the tournament.
Nukunuku rugby team took the Division 2 prize of TP$12,000 on Friday, in the finals of the Lavengamalie Cup Tournament 2015-16 at Teufaiva Stadium in Nuku’alofa, scoring 43-7 against ‘Ahiohio team of Malapo.
