Marist were awarded the cup and Division One top prize money of TP$35,000 while Spartan took home TP$20,000 in prize money from the tournament.

Nukunuku rugby team took the Division 2 prize of TP$12,000 on Friday, in the finals of the Lavengamalie Cup Tournament 2015-16 at Teufaiva Stadium in Nuku’alofa, scoring 43-7 against ‘Ahiohio team of Malapo.

The tournament kicked off on 12 December, 2015 with more than 10 teams from different districts and clubs in Tongatapu.

The second division semi-finalists Malapo will take on Popua while Fatumu will meet Nukunuku today.

Toa ko Ma‘afu Saracen will take on Spartan and Marist will challenge Toloa Old Boys in the first division semi-finals tomorrow.

The finals for both the divisions are expected to be held on Saturday, 9 January.
