The Corporate breakfast was aimed at providing Digicel’s corporate and business customers with details on its new range of products and services.

Digicel Tonga also launched a new PABX services and attractive ISP / GSM rates available now to businesses in Tonga.

Early Christmas cheers for Mango Tree project children from Digicel Tonga

Digicel Tonga CEO Ben Kealy and the staff handed out gifts to the children at the closing ceremony for Mango Tree this week.

Guest of honor HRH Princess Sinaitakala Tuku’aho and other guests joined the celebrations.

Digicel provides Mango Tree with internet and sponsorships as well as employment to one of their members.

 

     

Digicel pledges support for Nuku’alofa Outrigger Club

The Digicel team kicked off with training sessions today.

This will be followed with a competition next week Monday involving a 4km race to Pangaimotu Island.

Digicel Tonga donates $1000 cash to Tonga Breast Cancer Society

The donation is part of the company’s efforts to help women who are suffering and need treatment.

Digicel Tonga in the month of October donated $1 towards the worthy cause for every Smart phone sold in all their stores.

Cancer is the second cause of death in Tonga according to the Director of Health – Dr. Siale ‘Akauola.

At an event to launch breast cancer awareness month in October, Dr. ‘Akau’ola urged women to get early detection screening help and get treatment as soon as possible.

 

 

 

Digicel Tonga’s Christmas campaign attracts large crowds

Activities have been held daily since the launch last Friday which attracted close to 1000 children of all ages from all over Tongatapu.

With colouring activities, face painting, jumping castle and much more, the children never ran out of entertainment.

Digicel Tonga launched its’ ‘Get Gifted’ Christmas themed campaign last Friday.

The launch included a Santa Parade from Ma’amaloa to Digicel Square where the biggest Christmas tree in Tonga was lit. This was followed by lots of entertainment for families.

The ‘Get Gifted’ campaign is aimed to uplift the Christmas spirit amongst households, the local community and to remind customers that this Christmas we know what you want.

Ben Kealy, the new Digicel Tonga CEO said that: “The Christmas campaign’s key focus is on both the universal awkwardness of receiving a bad Christmas gift and the pure joy of getting the perfect gift … In other words a Digicel Gift.”

Ben was recently the CEO for Digicel in Nauru and was instrumental in building a strong and solid business with key emphasis on People, Customers, Network, Business Solutions, Data Growth, Government Relations and the launching of new Play TV and 4G / LTE.

Digicel Launches Microwave Connectivity to Ha’apai and Vava’u

The islands will now enjoy 5 times faster internet speeds as a result of moving from satellite to microwave connectivity providing superior and unmatched mobile and home broadband experience the same as fibre.

Digicel to launch Microwave Connectivity and Five times faster internet to the outer islands

This will increase internet speed from 1Mbps to 5Mbps with 200Mbps capacity, which is 5 times faster than the current speed and match data experience in Tongatapu.

Digicel staff gives back to Alma Maters in Tonga
