Kaisala, a mother of two, died at the scene after trying to help a woman who was being attacked by a man in south Auckland, said a Givealittle page set up by Kaisala's sister-in-law Aroma Faafuata.
Faafuata said the death "sent shock waves through our family" and Kaisala's husband would have to "rethink and change his living situation all because of a selfish man's actions".
The incident happened on Mahunga Drive, in Māngere Bridge, on Thursday.
A witness at the scene described the incident as "chaos".
