Family and kāinga came together in a ceremony to honour the life of the 22-year-old man from Pātangata who was found dead in a waterway in Popua early this month.
There have been no arrests made after the burial service in Talafoʻou on Friday.
The post-mortem examination on Kevini Maka’s body was completed before it had been released back to his family on Thursday, a Police spokesperson said.
As Kaniva News reported Acting Police Superintendent Tevita Vailea said they had enough information to launch the investigation while Police were still awaiting an autopsy report.
