Parents find son snatched in hotel 32 years ago

Mao Yin was snatched aged two, while his father stopped to get him some water on the way home from nursery.

His parents searched the country for him and his mother distributed more than 100,000 flyers.

The family were reunited at a police news conference on Monday, and the son - now aged 34 - said he planned to spend time with his parents.

"I would like to thank the tens of thousands of people who helped us," said Li Jingzhi, the boy's mother.

Emotions run high as bodies of murdered couple return to China

Victorina Kioa told Kaniva News she met the couple’s funeral procession on the road Thursday afternoon.

“I was on my way back from USP after dropping my kids off. I just parked by the roadside while I was in tears.  So sad,” she said.

The bodies of Mr and Mrs Wen were found with stab wounds in a bush allotment in Matafonua on 25 February, 2018.

Police have arrested and charged two teenagers, aged 15 years and 17 years for the alleged murder of the Wens.

Prime Minister Akilisi Pohiva had earlier paid a tribute to the couple.

Tongan teenagers charged with murder of Chinese couple

It’s alleged the two murdered a Chinese couple aged in their early 50s last weekend.

The bodies of the couple were found in a bush allotment at Matafonua last Sunday, 25 February 2018.

They had multiple stab wounds on their bodies and their vehicle was reported missing.

Deputy Police Commissioner Pelenatita Vaisuai has confirmed that the teenagers were apprehended on Thursday.
