Michael Buble announces one New Zealand show at Mission Estate

The jazz singer will bring a 36-piece orchestra to the winery on Saturday February 1, 2020. 

An Evening with Michael Buble will be held days before Sir Elton John performs two Mission Concerts, on Thursday February 6 and Saturday February 15.  

It's been six years since Buble was last in New Zealand. 

"I'm really excited to be heading back on tour and to play for my New Zealand audience again," Buble said statement.

A high-profile trip to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga in October is being discussed at the highest level and aides are promising that the second half of this year will be ‘incredibly busy’ with official visits.

The couple have already announced that they are delaying their honeymoon to return to work the week after their nuptials.

It is anticipated that Miss Markle – now the Duchess of Sussex – will join the Queen at the Chelsea Flower Show for the first time and make an appearance at one of her annual garden parties in the coming weeks.

Celine Dion to tour Australia and New Zealand this year

The show will mark Celine’s return to Australia for the first time in a decade, playing in arenas in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne.

It will also be her first visit to New Zealand in over two decades with the final stop of the tour scheduled for Auckland’s Spark Arena on Saturday 11 August.

Celine Dion has sold almost 250 million albums during her over a 30‑year career.

She has earned five Grammy Awards, two Academy Awards and seven American Music Awards.

Tickets will go on sale online from the 19th of February.


Pumas lose Jeronimo De la Fuente for rugby tour to New Zealand, Australia

De la Fuente, who missed the away defeat and home win against South Africa this month, was included on Monday in the squad that will travel on Friday but has now dropped out.

He is replaced in the 28-man squad by Gabriel Azcarate, who could make his tournament debut if called into action during the away Tests, the Argentine Rugby Union (UAR) said.

Coach Daniel Hourcade said that De la Fuente had failed a medical before praising the Pumas' form.

Prince Charles reunited with nursery nanny in Nelson

 More than 17,000 kilometers and 60 years on from where it all began, Prince Charles was reunited with the woman who cared for him as a baby at Clarendon House.

Jacqui Botting, 92, lives in a care home opposite a Nelson research centre the Prince was visiting as part of his New Zealand tour, and had been sitting under a nearby tree in the hope of seeing him.

New Zealand-born Botting looked after Prince Charles and his sister Princess Anne in the early 1950’s, before she returned to marry.
