Speaking exclusively to One News Epi Taione said he had resigned Friday but will still remain involved at some level.

Tonga lost every game but one at the World Cup in England, including a 47-9 loss to the All Blacks.

Tongans in Auckland to remember Lomu

Lomu died unexpectedly on Wednesday at his Auckland home. He had suffered from a serious kidney disease for several years.

His family has yet to announce funeral plans but a Tongan community leader Salote Heleta Lilo says one will be held on Sunday at the Mangere church his family attended.

Fiji to Host 2015 Oceania Rugby Junior Trophy

The 2015 Oceania Rugby Junior Trophy will be hosted by the Fiji Rugby Union at ANZ Stadium, Suva between 27 November and 5 December, 2015.

This was announced by FRU CEO Radrodro Tabualevu at a Press Conference on Friday.

“We are pleased to announce that the Fiji Rugby Union will host the 2015 Oceania Rugby Junior Trophy.”

“There are four teams that will play in the tournament, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Vanuatu and the Vodafone Fiji U20.”

Tonga have the next week and half off following a busy Pacific Nations Cup.

Tonga finished with wins against Canada, USA and Japan following a narrow opening defeat by Fiji.

High Performance Manager, Peter Harding expects performances to keep improving.

"We know the quality of our group and we know that if we have enough time together we can win matches. This has just basically confirmed what we've long believed. We need time together, we need matches together and we go alright if we get those two aspects of it correct".
