Raymond Fifita wins grand cash prize in Digicel Tonga Easter SMS competition

Seionala Talasinga of Neiafu, Vava’u, won the second prize of $1000TOP.

Sailosi Tu’akalau, Tectopher Halaliku and Mafi Tuihalangingie took away he instant weekly cash prize of $100TOP.

The Easter Bunny SMS game was launched on 10 April and ran until the end of the month.

Participants were required to text the word ‘bunny’ to 1644 for $0.39.

The participant who collected the most points by the end of April won the grand cash prize.

Fifita who has been a loyal customer of Digicel for the last eight years is no stranger to the SMS games.

Digicel Tonga announces March SMS game, Sporting Glory winners

Sailosa Tuakalau of Havelu who came in second place won $800TOP.

The Sporting Glory SMS game was created to support the Special Olympic Team Tonga at the World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi.

To participate in this game, customers were required to text the word WIN to short-code 1644 for just $0.39 per text.

The main objective of the game was to collect the most points by the end of the month and claim rank 1 for their chance to win.

Digicel Tonga supports awareness programmes to end TB

This year’s theme is “It’s Time to End TB”.

Tuberculosis is a common disease in most Pacific Island countries affecting people in different livelihoods.

To mark the awareness week, Digicel was fortunate to have Dr Joseph Takai from the Ministry of Health and the Public Health Division to enlighten staff in an engage and learn session on what TB is, the causes and most importantly what to do and how to prevent it.

Tonga partners meet with Digicel Group Senior Government Relations Officer

Mrs Benoit-Guyot is attending to matters across the Digicel markets on behalf of Chairman and Founder, Denis O’Brien.

On Monday, she joined Digicel Tonga, Chief Executive Officer, Francis Thomsen in meetings with regulators, the Prime Minister’s Office, New Zealand High Commission and Nishi Trading.

Mrs Benoit-Guyot also met with staff at the Digicel office.

The Global Youth Day was launched on March 13 2013 with a vision of GYD is to recapture the reality of Adventist youth as a global movement mobilized for service, contributing to the proclamation of the everlasting gospel and ushering in the second coming of Jesus Christ.

The SDA community has based this an idea of "Be the Sermon" and adopt "A Prisoner | A Patient | An Orphan or anyone with a need of food, water, shelter or clothes.

The programme also reaches out to the outer-islands.
