Digicel Play TV rewards Taniela Malupo with shopping voucher

Twenty-year-old Malupo currently attends Tupou Tertiary Institute. He said he really enjoys Digicel Play TV. “My favourite channels are Sports, Discovery and the movie channels.” Malupo said his siblings prefer to watch the cartoon channel.

He said he will join his family and go to PTH to buy some good things with the voucher.

The locally-produced Digicel Play TV show is a first of its kind talent show profiling Papua New Guinea’s most talented, unique and brightest entertainers.

The winner of the show will walk away with K20, 000, second place will receive K10,000 and a K5,000 prize will go to the third placed act.

After two exciting semi-final rounds, six of the most talented acts have made it into the inaugural grand finale on Sunday night. The top six acts that will battle it out in front of the judges to be crowned PNG’s ultimate khax include:

Bray received news on Wednesday that he will watch the next generation of wrestling talent perform at WWE NXT in Sydney, as the winner of the 30-Day Supa Plan Competition.

“To be honest, I did not believe at first,” he said.

But all doubts have been cleared.

Bray today picked up his prize which includes return airfares for two from Port Moresby to Sydney on Saturday 10 December, four-nights’ accommodation, $1000 AUD spending money and two tickets to the WWE NXT at Qudos Bank Arena on Tuesday 13 December.

And the starting age to take part production is from 18 years and above.

The first of its kind talent show will showcase and profile Papua New Guineas most talented, unique and brightest entertainers.

The show is expected to be a hit as it will be open to individuals and groups performances in all genres including singers, dancers, musicians, comedians, poets, illusionists and magicians.

Digicel Play CEO, Nico Myer says the show will help to develop and recognize the wealth of talent that exists in PNG and share their stories throughout the country.

The product was officially launched on Tuesday, July 12, by the Governor of Chimbu Province, Noah Kool.

The official launch of the tower transmission was held at the TNA Supermarket, Digicel Play’s new retail outlet in Kundiawa town. Crowds gathered to witness the opening by the Governor and his Deputy Governor James Kendyagl, Digicel Goroka general manager Peter Chromiec and Simbu local SP PNG Hunters player Nickson Borana.

​Digicel Play strikes a move with local dance competition

The competition, which will run for eight weeks from Saturday, July 9, to Saturday, September 3, provides an opportunity for young hip-hop dancers to showcase their passion and love for the art of urban street dancing in Port Moresby.

Digicel Play CEO Nico Meyer said he was thrilled to team up with The Cosmopolitan to broadcast the talent of young people across the country.
