The competition encourages followers and fans to participate by hitting like, tagging as many friends as possible and sharing the post on their own page to win daily Top Up of $49 or the main prize a 4G Smartphone and $149 Top Up.

Cyber Bullying - A global concern for young people nowadays

Nearly 43% of kids globally have been bullied online.

In fact, 1 in 4 has had it happen more than once. 70% of students reported seeing frequent bullying online. 

Over 80% of teens around the world use a cell phone regularly, making it the most common medium for cyber bullying.

90% of teens who have seen social-media bullying say they have ignored it. 84% have seen others tell cyber bullies to stop and only 1 in 10 victims will inform a parent or trusted adult of their abuse.

Digicel Tonga CEO rewards staff and Team

There were four key awards; Employee of the Year Award, Outstanding Award, Team Recognition Award and CEO’s Choice Award.

Employee of the Year Award was presented to Alipeti Talanoalelei, Head of Billings who has showed commitment, dedication in not only his area of work but has gone beyond the call of duty. 

Alipeti has performed exceptionally well and has maintained a high level of productivity throughout the year with good working relationship with Hub team in Fiji. 

Bringing joy home this Christmas with visits to senior citizens

The home visits were an emotional experience for senior citizens and Digicel team. 

These senior citizens selected were aged between 85 to 90-year-old.

Delivering thes Christmas hampers to doorsteps was another initiative focusing on people and relationships and aligned to the theme; ‘Bringing Joy Home This Christmas.’

Digicel Tonga staff bring joy to children

The activity had staff of Digicel Tonga participating in a one day Volunteerism at Mango Tree Centre, Tonga’s Disability Foundation for children with special needs.

Community partnership is crucial for Digicel and continuing to focus on what matters most, ‘People and Relationships’ the CSR activity was an invaluable experience for staff.

The Digicel Team painted the Centre’s therapy hall, mowed the lawn, weeded and planted shrubs all in an effort to making a difference and giving back to the local community.

In this case…those that need it the most.  

     

Digicel brings Christmas joy to Mango Tree Centre children

Every child at the centre received a gift in line with the theme of Digicel’s Christmas campaign, “Bringing Joy home this Christmas”.

The Guest of Honour at today’s ceremony was Lord Fakafanua and special guests included His Excellency Mr Andrew Ford, Rev. Harmon Schmelzenbach, Rev. Aisea Vi and ofcourse Digicel representative, Mr. Dennis Fuapau.

This Christmas, Digicel focuses on what matters most, that is 'People and Relationships.'

Digicel Tonga announces winners from Top Up overseas
