Digicel visit to the Mango Tree Foundation

Digicel Tonga has been supporting the Mango Tree Foundation for several years now and with help to bring kids from different areas of Tonga to be nurtured by the foundation.

The visit also accompanied with lunch provided by the company to parents, guidance and disability kids in the centre.

One of the mothers express their gratitude to the company for the help that they have been provided for the past few years so that she could bring her son to school.

Digicel Tonga gives out smartphones to Tonga Fire Service.

Fire Emergencies Commissioner Mr Lofia Heimuli expressed his gratitude to the CEO and the company for being able to consent their request.

Mr Heimuli mentioned that these smartphones and sim cards will benefit the team in terms of effective communication in case of emergencies.

He also thanked Digicel Tonga for the support not only for the Tonga Fire Service but for the public as well.

Digicel sticks to its objectives in providing the best communication in Tonga and be able to give back to the community.

26th Annual Billfish Tournament winners announced

The winning team of the 26th Billfish Tournament was 'Family Jewel' with the Trophy of the tournament plus TOP$4000 Cash & the New Zealand Team 'Humdinger' took home the first runner up prize of TOP$1200 Cash.

The Billfish Committee thanked Digicel Tonga & ANZ Bank for being the major sponsors of the tournament for two years now.

Mr Ben Kealy, CEO for Digicel Tonga said that this is part of Digicel's efforts to helping the community grow and in staging events like this it helps local businesses and stakeholders.

Digicel Tonga and ANZ Bank sponsor the 26th Tonga Billfish Tournament

The tournament started yesterday, 7th September and ends on 13th September. 

The opening of the tournament was welcomed by overseas participants to this one-week tournament.

A total of 9 boats were confirmed to be competing and 35 anglers ready to take on this year’s competition.

It’s surprising to see two (2) overseas boats in from New Zealand & Samoa to participate in the tournament and also meet & greet with the local anglers. 

Digicel Tonga announces Ultimate Boxing Winners

The Ultimate Boxing Game was launched on the 21st of August and ended on the 31st of August with the concept of people to subscribe to a certain short code in order to get their points accumulates and so as their ranks.

Many participated in the game but only three (3) dedicated players were able to be on the spotlight for the top 3 winners.

These 3 winners collected their cash money from Digicel Head Office today.

Mum is first winner of Ultimate Boxing SMS Game

Latu won cash of $100TOP.

Her daughter Makeleta Latu collected Mele’ana’s prize on her behalf.

Mele’ana is an avid follower of the Digicel SMS game and has been playing it for some time now.

She has encouraged other Digicel subscribers to join the Ultimate Boxing SMS game and keep on texting PUNCH to 1644 for $0.39.

The Boxing Game will run until the end of August with a Grand Prize of $1000TOP.

     

Digicel Tonga Ambrose Golf Tournament

The tournament was open for anyone from other organisations in Tonga.

Digicel Tonga CEO, Ben Kealy took part in the tournament with other members from the Tonga Golf Club.

Digicel being the major sponsor for the tournament, provided the prizes for the tournament with Digicel branded t-shirt, caps, string bags, top -up vouchers and smartphones.

The Tonga Golf Club committee thanked Digicel for being able to sponsor the event twice this year and that they are happy to have staffs of Digicel participate on the tournament.

Digicel announces July Festive Winners

Festive Fever Game was launched on the 1st of July till the 31st with the concept of people to subscribe to a certain short code in order to get their points accumulates and so as their ranks.

Vika'ila Kivalu wins Festive Game for the third time

Vika’ila claimed her prize from the Vava’u Digicel Office and said that she never thought of winning three instant cash prizes in a row. 

She previously won the instant prizes on the 21st,27th and 28th July were she became rank one on these three nights.

With only five days to complete this Festive Game, Vika’ila determines to continue playing with hopes for the grand prize of $1500TOP by the end of July 31st.

Digicel announces third instant Winner for Festive Fever

Alekisio claimed his prize from the Digicel Office and said that it was his first time to play the game and never expected to won any prize.

Alekisio says he is determined to keep on playing for the grand prize as six(6) days remain before the game ends.

He also mentioned that for those that are keen to try out Festive Fever, they need to start texting now for the grand prize of $1500TOP at the end of this month.
