Digicel Tonga supports Tonga’s NRL Secondary School Competition 2020

The sponsorship package includes merchandise, communications, broadcasting and live streaming over the 6-week season for the third year of the NRL Secondary School Competition for Under 15s, 16s, and 17s age groups played between eight schools.

Matalave Ita wins the Download MyDigicel app & Win Promotion Samsung Smart Phone

Ita, 26 from Fatumu Tongatapu, was surprised and happy to have won the brand new Samsung Galaxy S9 smart phone a week ago.

“I did not expect to win this prize. I’ve never won a prize from Digicel but this is my very first time to do so. I’m very happy with this gift from Digicel because it will help me to stay connected better with my family and friends especially when I’m overseas during the seasonal fruit picking program,” he said.

Ita said he had heard about the MyDigicel app but never quite understood what it was or used for.

Digicel Tonga celebrates International Women’s Day

There were special female guest appearances made by the New Zealand’s High Commissioner to Tonga, Tiffany Babington and one of Tonga’s accomplished local entrepreneur, Mrs. Liz Sullivan, to celebrate International Women’s Day.

The women in business were delighted to slip away from the busy Monday morning run to be encouraged by each other’s presence, but also find inspiration from Babington and Sullivan.

A team of two athletes and coach that departed Friday to represent Tonga in Brisbane, Australia for the qualifying pathway to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics were also presented with Digicel string bags and t-shirts.

Digicel awards its final Back to School Winner

Losena Finau, 26 years old of Longolongo won $1000 Cash. 

Finau mentioned she found out about the Back to School promotion on Facebook and watched videos of all the winners hoping that she too would win. 

This was one of the reasons she kept topping up her phone and purchasing the 7GB data plan every week.

Digicel Rewards Back to School Week 5 Winner; Aleiteisi wins $1000 Cash

Aleiteisi Molisi of Ha’apai won $1000 Cash. 

Molisi has been a proud Digicel customer for years.  She recently learnt about the Back to School promotion when she saw winners being posted on Digicel’s Facebook page every week. 

Last week, She topped up $35 and purchased her 3-day data plan, her international voice bundle and her local voice bundle.
